Our Story
We are a father and son team and found ourselves traveling a lot for both business and personal reasons. We were always frustrated by the fact that it's so difficult to get quality sleep while seated on an airplane and many funny conversations ensued.
Yes, airplane seats usually recline but only to the point that it is almost comfortable enough to fall asleep. Every time you doze off, gravity takes its toll and creates the dreaded headflop effect. Not only is a headflop painful, but it really prevented us from achieving restful sleep. We finally thought there had to be a better way! We became obsessed with solving this problem.
After over a year of testing & developing over 21 various prototypes, we finally came up with a perfect solution. A solution so unique and so revolutionary, it’s currently Patented with the United States Patent & Trademark Organization. The SeatSnoozer sleep device was born.
We thought to ourselves, why had no one ever come up with something like this before? We realized that it wasn’t an easy issue to tackle and that we were onto something completely new. We asked ourselves many questions: How would we make this product compact and light weight enough for the frequent traveler? What were the best materials to use? How could we make it foldable so it can be stored in a small personal bag? How would we make it comfortable enough for prolonged use? We used our engineering backgrounds and consulted with many other Engineers and Industrial Designers to study human ergonomics, material selection and proper product design.
The goal was to create an easy to use, light weight, packable, durable, and comfortable device that allows you to sleep while seated for long periods of time, especially during air travel. Well, our hard work paid off and we were able to develop the most comfortable travel sleeping device on the market, the SeatSnoozer.
